Raj is the Chief Executive Officer of Clean Cloud Energy and a seasoned portfolio manager with extensive experience in asset management.

Prior to joining Clean Cloud Energy, he was a portfolio manager at NWI, a $7.5 billion global macro hedge fund.  At NWI he co-founded a 50/50 joint venture with Blackstone called Blackstone NWI Asset Management.  In addition to being a portfolio manager, he raised more than $1 billion for the joint venture.  

Raj began his career at JP Morgan where he worked for 10 years retiring as a managing director and co-head of emerging markets sales and trading.

‍Over his career, he led multi-billion-dollar capital raises and managed portfolios focused on emerging markets sovereign and quasi-sovereign credit. At NWI, he guided the flagship fund’s strategy, growing assets under management from $1.8 billion to $7.5 billion.

Raj holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University. Raj has two children with his late wife, enjoys long runs, and spending time in the Berkshires.
